In Mob Psycho 100, Koyama was a childhood friend of Shigeo who grew up with him. Though Koyama had ambitions of becoming an actor, following his older brother’s death, he decided to focus on his studies rather than pursuing a career in acting. However, after one of his classmates died in a car accident, he became compelled to pass on his power of arrest to Shigeo in order to save people from their crimes. Thus, he accompanied the young man as he came into contact with the Mob Psycho 100 cult and lived in the shadows while plotting to position himself as Shigeo’s rival and take his place as leader of the cult. However, he was drawn out into the open when a deadly fate befell his parents, and upon learning of Shigeo’s existence, he resolved to become his equal and take down the brash boy that could turn anyone into a killer.
In Mob Psycho 100, DIWAKI was born with a special aura ― the psychic ability to recognize the unconscious minds of other people. To control it, he was given a drug made from the eye of a suicide bomber whose death he caused. After taking the drug, he became a member of a secret organization and began to feel a deep sense of separation from other people, but it was also the manifestation of his power to see into their minds. He used the ability to secretly gather information from criminals, implying a necessity to do so in order to save a young child. However, DIWAKI had to maintain a facade in order to be accepted by the organization. DIWAKI was called the \"most evil person in the world\" by his fellow agents and had the highest probability of being assigned to any job that takes him away from his family, but he was consistently given the toughest jobs. When he worked with Koyama, this made his power even stronger than before. However, in the end, DIWAKI felt a necessity to take revenge on those he saw as his enemy, even including the eye of a child he loved and lost: his own sister, who had been killed by the family that ruined his life. 7211a4ac4a
