Find information regarding annual updates to the Standard Specifications, read/download WSDOT General Special Provisions (GSPs), read/download APWA General Special Provisions (GSPs) for local agencies and download/update the contract software for writing and compiling specifications.
The 2023 Standard Specification Book is effective for all WSDOT projects advertised on or after October 3, 2022. We publish the Standard Specifications annually. Revisions that need to occur between publications will be incorporated into contracts via the General Special Provisions. *Version 7.6 of PS&E Word is current through October 3, 2022 and only contains the GSP/index files updated on or prior to that date. Version 7.6 is not current and does not contain the updated GSP/index files that have been released since then. You will need to manually update your program files in order to ensure you are using the most current copies of GSPs, as there have been multiple interim updates since the last download file was posted. Please review the file listing (XLSX 17KB) to see which files you will need to download in order to bring your program up to date. For instructions on how to manually update your files, please see below.
