So, these people with "problems" upgraded first, then clean installed? I thought you said that that was what you're supposed to do (upgrade, then clean install). So, according to you, how are they supposed to be having problems?
Please note that resetting the password from an account other than the corresponding user account always means that the user loses the credentials stored in the Windows Vault, stored Internet Explorer passwords, and files that you encrypted with the Encrypting File System (EFS). Of course, if you have a backup of these credentials, you can restore them; likewise, if you have exported the private EFS key, you can import it again after you have reset the password.
Like with all other solutions that allow you to reset the Windows password without having an account on the corresponding computer, you have to boot from a second operating system and access the Windows installation while it is offline.
You can do this with a bootable Windows PE USB stick or by using Windows RE. You can start Windows RE by booting the Windows Vista or Windows 7 setup DVD and then selecting "Repair" instead of "Install Windows."
I recommend that you replace sethc.exe with the copy you stored in the root folder of your system drive in step 3. For this, you have to boot up again with Windows PE or RE because you can't replace system files while the Windows installation is online. Then you have to enter this command:
The Kali NetHunter interface allows you to easily work with complex configuration files through a local web interface. This feature, together with a custom kernel that supports 802.11 wireless injection and preconfigured connect back VPN services, make the Kali NetHunter a formidable network security tool or discrete drop box - with Kali Linux at the tip of your fingers wherever you are!
A Kali Linux Live image on a CD/DVD/USB/PXE can allow you to have access to a full bare metal Kali install without needing to alter an already-installed operating system. This allows for quick easy access to the Kali toolset with all the advantages of a bare metal install. There are some drawbacks, as disk operations may slow due to the utilized storage media.
Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL) is a software package on modern Windows installs that allow you to run Linux alongside your Windows system in an optimized container. The Kali WSL package allows easy access to the Kali toolset. This comes with the same drawbacks of a standard VM, but allows for less overhead and tighter integration with your Windows systems.
When I click the "Add Torrent" button, I get the window that pops up and allows me to search for the torrent file I want to add. But, as soon as I click open, nothing happens. If I look quickly, I can faintly see the new torrent dialog pop up for a fraction of a second, and then it disappears.
I should also add that I've tried dragging and dropping torrent files into the UI, but I get the same result. Either nothing happens at all, or I get the new torrent dialog flickering for a split second, then disappearing.
Then reinstall and you should be good to go. It appears that this is a settings incompatibility issue, at least in my case. Annoying that I had to re-add a dozen torrents I was sharing with people, but great that I figured out how to get it working again after a week without the time to look into a solution...
Just had this issue start today. I updated awhile ago. I still had some torrents seeding but couldn't add any new ones. Magnet links open utorrent but do not bring up the normal dialog box. Adding through the file menu or double-clicking a torrent file does not bring it up, either. If I add a torrent from a torrent file, then click on the magnet link for that torrent, it DOES bring up the box that says I already have the torrent in the list, do I want to merge the tracker lists. But there is no torrent in the list and nothing is downloading. Just to reiterate, this is not due to an update, as I update utorrent weeks ago. I don't want to blow away my config and reinstall because I have too many rss feeds. I tried reinstalling over top and that didn't correct the issue.
I just wanted to check back in with some additional info. This problem had gone away but has returned. I've discovered that if I uncheck the "Show options to change the name and location of the torrent data," torrents will start downloading automatically. But, as soon as I try to re-enable that dialog, it goes right back to not working. It's almost like there's something preventing the new torrent dialog from popping up.
qBittorrent is a free and open-source torrent client based on the Qt 5 toolkit and the libtorrent-rasterbar library. qBittorrent is known for being remarkably safe and fast. Plus, it includes feature highlights such as a built-in torrent search engine, a torrent creator, and a fantastic web UI.
qBittorrent is a cross-platform and open-source torrent client. It is supported by major operating systems, including Linux, macOS, Windows, FreeBSD, and OS/2. The qBitorrent application is written in C++ and based on the Qt 5 toolkit and the libtorrent-rasterbar library. It is available in 70 different languages.
qBittorrent is designed to serve as an excellent open-source (and free) alternative to uTorrent, BitTorrent, and other commercial BitTorrent clients in the market. The software is known to be reasonably reliable, stable, and fast.
You can also download qBittorrent from source tarball or binaries. All source tarballs and binaries are PGP signed (public key for PGP signing) starting from qBittorrent v3.3.4. You can download qBittorrent source tarball from TAR.GZ and PGP signature (SourceForge)
A healthy torrent swarm has a good share ratio between seeders (users with the entire file) and peers (the users getting the content and helping distribute it. A third player comes into place, leechers the users downloading the content but not uploading it. If the share ratio within a torrent swarm is unbalanced, for instance, there are more leechers than peers, everyone in the swarm will experience slow speeds.
qBittorrent uses a TCP port to establish communications with peers and trackers (except DHT, which uses various UDP ports to communicate with peers). Within local networks, firewalls and NATs do not simply trust any outsider (peer) from accessing the local network through the requesting port.
The previous section dealt with the best qBittorrent settings for speed. But still, aside from getting good speed rates, torrent users usually also want to improve their anonymity. There are a couple of qBittorrent settings and tools outside the client that can help you protect your privacy.
NOTE for Private Tracker users: Bear in mind that if you are downloading torrents from a private tracker, the Anonymous mode will remove the entire information from the torrent tracker. Private trackers use passkeys to identify themselves, so if this is removed, you will not be recognized as a valid user. You will not be able to connect to the tracker and the torrent swarm.
Proxies are exceptional for improving the privacy of torrents. Although they do not encrypt traffic (as VPNs do), they help by masking your IP in torrent swarms. Of course, proxies were not designed for the same purpose as VPNs (VPNs vs. proxies), so they can be suitable for different use cases. For instance, proxies do not encrypt traffic, making them faster than VPNs for torrenting. 2b1af7f3a8
